we live in amazing times for story telling.
once upon a time the only way to get a good story was to read an old musty book. even television, during its earliest incarnations, was often referred to as the idiot box. the internet was just used for Myspace and to watch videos of kittens on Youtube. we’ve gone leaps and bounds ahead of this since then. funny to because relatively speaking it wasn’t that long ago. today i surround...

i was going through the online-journal-type-thing i had before tumblr was a thing. and i came across this: “i have just loaded up the Dune series on my kindle. some neil stephenson and william gibson as well. i’ve never read any of it before. don’t know if i’ll ever get around to it now. but just the fact that i have it ready is sign enough. there’s no hope for me....

things that i want and really wish were real
Half-Life 3: the rumors are out and about.  Bladerunner: i just want to be a part of that world one more time. and with games like Heavy Rain and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a game based on this franchise could fit right in. Ridley Scott has has finished his Alien prequel Prometheus which will be opening soon. its his first sci-fi project since the original Bladerunner in 1982....

i can't figure out how to get the controller...
i’m just having shit luck all ‘round. i couldn’t get the controller to work on the ps2 emulator. so i thought i’d try something else all together. just downloaded Sixtyforce and it won’t let me configure the controller at all. i go the configure section, and nothing happens. the keyboard is set up no problem. but the corresponding buttons on the controller are left...

i am having no luck getting pcsx2 to work on mac's...
i think mostly it has to do with the fact that i have no idea what i’m doing. i got it working okay on the mac through windows. but then i can’t get the USB controller to work. i’ve set up the configuration but both analog sticks aren’t working properly. the left one only seems to work diagonally up and diagonally down.  maybe the controller itself is defective.

Alan Moore:
From Co.Create’s excellent article about the controversy over the Watchmen prequels, Alan Moore explains everything to you: There’s been a growing dissatisfaction and distrust with the conventional publishing industry, in that you tend to have a lot of formerly reputable imprints now owned by big conglomerates. As a result, there’s a growing number of professional writers now...
